I think we need a more dynamic system. It's great to see random events influence the prices of certain goods. But that's not enough. Anyway, that's just the tip of the iceberg. BT would have to be dynamic too. It makes no sense for Vienna in 1444 to have 14 BT. The city eventually inflated in size after Hungary and Bohemia were added to the Habsburg lands, because of the bureaucracy needed to govern such vast lands and migration from all corners of the the empire. Brandenburg with 7 BT is questionable as well.
