My impression of this game is initially very good. I played the old boardgame in the 90s and loved it.

Im very satisfied all mech's are available right away in skirmish mode, not units locked away like other games. I primarily like one-off battles, but will try story mode some more. I actually managed to fail the first mission when the mentor guy got unlucky... I'm a bit rusty you can say! :p This game is pretty deep, I dont see how people over at steam can give reviews after playing for just an hour! It will take days for me to learn this fully! :)

For a boardgame geek like me this was great fun, thanks to yaa' devs from me! (I can forgive a few bugs if fixed in reasonable time.)

A few things I wonder (to those who played the beta maybe):

* If I sprint is my attack delayed or must I walk to attack? (In the board game sprint and attack was very important to dodge for light mechs.)

* In skirmish is it possible to set all mechwarrios skills equal for an even battlefield? (In the board game my friends and I prefered to keep the mechwarrior skills equal so that our tactics and average randomness determined the winner.)

You can either move and shoot, or sprint. You cannot sprint and shoot on the same turn.

While you cannot edit the MechWarriors, you can always agree to take the same 'Mechs and the same MechWarriors to pilot them.
