When you inherit someone's land, do you also inherit his laws? Are the laws tied to the land or dynasty? I'm asking this because as Duke of Brandenburg, i pledged allegiance to the King of Denmark (the emperor was being an ass, pissing off all his vassals and everyone has declared independence). Since i then became the strongest vassal, I inherited the title King of Denmark, but all my laws became the Danish laws(elective, traditional custom, church supremacy). Is this normal? If the laws are tied to the title, do you take the law of the highest title you have? Also, when you give your son land, will he always have your laws? If thats the case, and i give my son land as an elected monarch, will his duchy/county have elective law also? What if you gave your son the land BEFORE you got elected, when your law was still salic primogeniture?

If the laws belong to the title, not the dynasty, is it possible to have several different set of laws (only one in affect, your highest title's laws) if you have several titles? For example, if i give my "king of denmark" title to someone, but still have my "duke of brandenburg" title, will i revert to my old duchy of brandenburg laws?

Another question... since i was only a duke before, i have like 4 duchy titles i can't give away, now that i'm the king, if i give a duke title to a count, will all the other counts in his "duchy" area automatically become his vassal? or do i have to manually revoke all the other counts land away and give it to the new duke so he can make his own vassals?

Not sure about the laws, maybe the best way to describe it is that they are tied to the highest title you have.
And you can't give away your king title.

When you give a duke title to a count, other counts already in that duchy will not become his vassals. He must create his vassals himself.

So there is no way to assign a vassal to a higher ranking vassal?

Personally I think the other counts should automatically become the vassals of the new duke when you appoint him, I think that would be more historical. I wonder if it's WAD as it is? :)
