Hello, I've got a question: what is an inheritable claim and what kind of person gets these?

Some background to this questions is my attempt att gaining a claim on the kingdom of Denmark, thinking if I marry a danish princess and the son of that marriage may have claim to the danish crown( he is currently king of sweden)

the crusader king wiki said this: Marry someone who has an inheritable claim. Your children will have the claim and you can then push it

so I was wondering where i might find this inheritable claim?

When you hover over a claim it will tell you whether the successor to the claimant will inherit the claim.

Children of rulers get a claim on his holdings when he dies. The ones that were in the highest spots of inheritance will get strong ones. Those are the ones with the thick green border. If the claim was acquired by inheritance it will be inheritable. It will however degrade from strong to weak when passed from mother to children.

If you marry the daughter of the current king she most likely doesn't have a claim yet. You'll have to wait for the king to die. Killing siblings of the Danish princess might be a helpful thing here.

Every child (except bastards) of a ruler will get a claim on all of his titles. So if you marry your heir to a princess of Denmark and you press her claim, their son will inherit both kingdoms.

I think the heir and the next two in line get a strong claim, and all other children get a weak claim.
