Like the title suggest, I wish that peacefully annexed subject nations can contribute their leaders (especially the monarch/heir ones) as they become part of the overlord nation. Call me sentimental, but I don't like how leaders of vassals would simply disappear into the thin air even though they should be working within the overlord nation after the annexation/integration/inheritance.

I don't know if it's technically achievable or difficult to implement, so I would like to suggest the idea for the role-playing fun, but only if it's doable. A dev feedback on whether something like is possible at all would be great and really appreciated.

If diplo-annexed why not.

I've had situations where I'm in the middle of a war , my 30k stack is led by a 3 star vassal general whose country is being integrated. And then poof he disappears and now I'm left with a leaderless army.

The turks rarely annex Albania through peaceful means, and Venice will usually eat Skanderberg before the Otto do nowadays. Awesome leaders themselves are not uncommon since their stats are randomly rolled when created, and there is also a generic event that generate a 100-tradition general early game that I have seen happening quite often.

It was just a joke but I don't think paradox would implement this as it allows you to essentially bypass the leader system in many ways.Generals are a risk reward type of scenario currently where you spend 50 mil power for a chance of a good general,if you inherit generals you can manipulate it to your benefit and don't have to spend the mil points yourself.

Wouldnt this cause a strain on Mil and Dip points if you annex somewhere and it gives you like 4 leaders without you paying attention?
Perhaps they should have a little warning saying you have x number of leaders over your limit, since you could end up gaining leaders without realizing. Then you could just fire the ones that are bad and you don't want.
Or maybe there should be a little tick box by the annexation progress bar asking if you want to keep the leaders (and armies) or not. It would be pretty helpful to not always be over my forcelimit after annexation.

That's a sensible solution, one of the litte graphic tick boxes you mean, the ones that appear at the top of the screen like the ones saying you have a disaster looming or that you have claims waiting?

I'd mean more like the little tick box you see on the province screen with a fort saying that it's active or not. Just using that tickbox next to the annexation bar on your vassal's diplomatic screen. But that works as well. Perhaps as a first warning to it.

Why not both? Give the warning while integrating maybe?

Yes, there is already a notification for exceeding the leader limit, so another one is not really needed. Ideally, it would make more sense if everything from the subject is inherited besides just its army and navy (ducat, loan, manpower, etc.), but like I mentioned earlier, I don't know if something like this is technically difficult or achievable at all.
