Infrastructure Mapmode

I noticed this button is missing in DH. I am wondering what the design decision behind this was.

I always found it very useful when planning axes of attack and areas to encircle enemies in. Does anyone know if it was to remove a button, or what?

It was never such a map mode. At least not in DD:Armageddon which engine was used as a starting point.
