In H.o.I 3 you could increase infrastructure, Anti Aerial, fortification, industry, airfields an all up to 10. How is it treated in HoI 4 ? I have read through the forum but haven't anything conclusive on that point ? Will we be limited in the number of constructions by each region or as in HOI3 able to max each of them ?
Speaking about Anti aerial defense, will it now have a real effect on passing by enemy airplane because in HOI 3 it had none at all.

One last point on research. In HoI 3 you could research the same tech several time for more bonus. Is that gone from HoI 4 or still in place ?

You can max out everything besides industry, which is limited by the region.
I am not sure about infrastructure but i think this one can get maxed too.

You can only research everything once like in hoi2.

You can find clear answers in the Dev Diaries. If I recall correct :

Each provinces is limited to 10 infrastructures, 10 airfield levels, 5 A.A levels, 6 radar levels & 10 fortifications levels.

They also get 20 slots for factories (Civilian, military, dockyards, synthetic refinery, nuclear reactors & rockets base) but those slots are limited by the infrastructure level of the province & by the population of the province.

Dev Diary about industrial build-up = https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ary-4th-of-september-2015-1-day-early.880097/

I think that A.A will act as a bonus to "air attrition" on that region. Don't quote me on that though. And no idea about your last question, sorry ! :)

Sh.t..... that's a big mistake no way to focus on one side... Well I will have to edit the research to increase the bonuses.... but that also implies that enemies will be able to benfit the bigger boost with only one research.... I will miss the ability to research 1950 u boot hulls.... That's to me is a bad ster backwards....

Thanks well I will always be able to edit the province file and add much more industries.

Synthetic plants, however, have a hard cap on their amount per state, but can be increased by researching synthetic production tech.

That part has recently changed. States (factorys are state level not province, like bunkers e.g.) have a pre determinated 'level'. (I don't remember all, but is was 8-10 different ones)
These level now give the number of max factories slots at game start. With industrial tech increasing it. (the first tech in dispersed and concentrated industry gives +20% on these max numbers.)

So Urban centers like e.g. London, Paris have 12 slots at game start.
lower level urban 10
developed rural 8
rual 6 and so on.

This is in no sense linked to infrastructure or population any more.

Radar level is limited by your radar technology, each radar technology increase the maximum radar level by one to a total of 6 levels.

Nope. While you can only research the Medium Tank I ONCE you can upgrade the gun using variants. So instead of researching "Medium tank gun IV" you research the Pz IV and over time put more land experience points into the gun. And later you simply research the Panther to unlock building that. BUT you can also continue to just produce the older tank Pz IV! Or you start with the better Panther and put poitns into it.. decisions, decisions!

So yes, you can still focus on special aspects of your army.

Industry tech has multiple one-time researchs that are pretty linear.
