Just looking for something that go back in 1399 or eariler into WWII eras or past it while playing any nation.

Any infos will be grateful

Thanks,
Rising

If you want a game that starts out very early and has WW2 era, you'll need to play something like Empire Earth or Civilization. At this point you might say, "hey, they aren't historical", but honestly, there just simply isn't a game that can cover that sort of changes in all fields of human life historically anyway so you might as well play those.

Or well, you could of course code converters between games (some exist already I believe) and start from 1066 in Crusader Kings II, import to Europa Universalis III at 1453, then go to Victoria 2 and finally to Hearts of Iron 3. That said pretty much any of these games, especially CK2 and EU3 are such that with nearly any country you can fairly easily dominate the world by the end of the time periods, so it'd become pretty dull if you don't play with some house rules or something.

Well thank guys, least give me and others some tips. I wanted something more realistic that would go back 1200s to WWII eras, I have already played HoI III, and didnt care for it much due to AIs and cannot stock on resources, etcs. I can understand that cant have airplanes, but wouldnt hurt if they made a expansion that allow expand into WWII era.

So Empire Earth is trash, Civilization is alittle too simply and many others arent that realistic.

For example, imagine having Supreme Ruler 2020 that would be mod back in 1200s to 2020, that i would like to take a look at.

There is nothing realistic from 1200 to WW II. Even EU III isn't realistic. You just can't make game spaning several ages to be realistic. But again, it depens, what you mean by "realistic".

i believe the only converter that works right now is eu3 to vicky 2 as ck is too new and i have not seen one for vicky to hoi. however didn't paradox used to make a converter in the game? i could have sworn i saw a link on vicky that let you convert a few years ago but then again i probably am crazy i think they would make a lot more money if they did that as people would want to continue their games even if they were say the Roman empire who stretched from southern france to india and down to mali

Only way i can put it by using the term realistic, that mining ores, collecting rubbers, pumping oil, etcs, then transport them to proper place to extract resources that is needed for war materials. Other than that, supply upkeeps and other demands. I am sure there alot of things can think of, of being realistic. Just like complex stuffs, that all.

Only game that is complex that i know of would be Gary Grisgby's War in the Pacific: Admiral Edtion, that game is very long and interesting to play, its expensive too.

That sort of thing isn't covered by any Paradox game, really. They all have it in a more abstract sense (some are closer than others). The only big games (that I can think of) that really model resource extraction are Empire Earth/Age of Empires type games (and they aren't realistic in a ton of other ways), though you could argue that the Civilization series has it in a more abstract sense. Paradox games really are more about grand strategy in the sense that you're in command of a ton of stuff and don't have as much influence on the little things (like the things you're talking about).

The point is, there is no game that accurately represents things to that level of detail across the timeframe you're proposing (1200-2000). Some games do a portion of that (there are a ton of fairly realistic games centered around WWII, for example) but to make a game that realistic across that large a timeframe is unfortunately basically unfeasible because so many things would have to change, and if something doesn't happen as it historically did those changes could have occurred very differently.

Hearts of Iron Series is not too bad, like part two better than first and third pack. Darkest Hour seem to be pretty good and these games have resources that needed to fuel the empire to survive, of course would have to transport them in reality.

Isn't there a mod for EUIII that extends the timeline up to the 20th century? Whole World Mod or Rising Nations, something like that?

They might.

The Steppe Wolf (sometimes called AirotciV) mod extends the timeline from the Roman Empire to the modern era. But it doesn't really work in my opinion to model 2000 years with the EU3 system.
