Information regarding the IPO [UPDATED 17/05/16]

Greetings everyone!
We have an update on the IPO process that is currently taking shape and we'd like to share it with you all.

Important note!
Please note that if you are not a Swedish citizen or living in Sweden you need to visit www.paradoxinteractive.com, check www.avanza.se or www.pepins.com or contact your local banking authorities to see if you are eligible to take part in this offer.

For our beloved fans the following options (provided you are eligible – see above) are available to you:

- First come, first serve at Pepins. The second batch is opening today at 4pm CEST. There will be a total of 4 batches. It should be worth noting that you are guaranteed the amount of shares you request if you go through Pepins.

- Soon we will also open the “fans only” transch reserved for fans via password. For full rules & conditions of the Pepins offer please visit www.pepins.com. There is a forum open with the password that is needed to buy shares via this option (visible only to users who have signed in to the forum) and this section also has more information on when the shares will go on sale.

- Avanza, if you are planning to go through Avanza you can use the "Friends & Fans" sign up sheet found under IPO at our coroprate website. I am trying to register at this pepins site, but as a non-swede it is pretty hard. It claims my account number is not the correct format (it has to conform to a swedish scheme), and I also need to verify my account with a swedish BankID.

Asking for help in a email to info@pepins.se, as the FAQ suggests, get me kinda nowhere...:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

     info@pepins.se

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain pepins.se by mail.pepins.se. [2a00:16d8:0:4::200].

The error that the other server returned was:
550 5.1.1 <info@pepins.se>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in relay recipient table

Is there a guide somewhere aimed at non-swedes to participate in the IPO?

Yup that faq is utterly damn useless. I ended up looking under "terms and conditions" which at least covers some of the requirements you got to meet before you can succesfully register(if not how to actually fulfill them in practice ) Seems virtually impossibly for anybody but resident Swedes with a Swedish bankaccount to register succesfully on Peppins on short enough notice.

Thanks. And yes, after reading their 'Villkor' it rather does seem like it, for all practical purposes, are swedes only for now. Oh well, I'll keep an eye out for a good deal once they go public

So Pepins requires a stack of paperwork at minimum equal to setting up a bank account in a EU country and an actual Swedish bank ID on top of that, while Avanza requires a Swedish social security number just to enter the site.

Aye the paperwork needed to be able to participate when you arent located in sweden makes it kinda not worth participating. Its kinda frustrating and will probably result in quite a few disappointed fans.

I'd slogged through it if there was a clearcut way to actually do it within a reasonable amount of time and if I'd be certain it was enough. But there is none, the site is clearly only aimed at servicing swedish customers and its impossible to get what is basically the opening of two bankaccounts (since you will have to go through the whole procedure with a Swedish bank aswell inorder to have a valid account nr) processed in time.

Once the trading has started, you can most likely get some shares through a broker. For instance DEGIRO https://www.degiro.eu/

Hi all,

Let me try to bring some clarity in this for you to the best of my/our ability.

For those of you who cannot purchase shares “the standard way” through Pepins you can use the attached form. The form needs to be submitted to Pepins according to the instructions on the form. You will need, in addition to the form, to provide a copy of your ID as well as a copy of a utility bill ex electric bill/phone bill etc. This is in lieu of a Swedish Electronic ID. (which serves to confirm your identity).

Please note - you will still need to be from one of the countries that is eligible to partake in this offer, unfortunately financial laws is not something that Paradox can affect and something we have clarified multiple times from the start.

You will need a deposit account as that is where your shares will be stored. Alternatively you can use a broker. If you use your bank and a deposit account, that bank must have an agreement with the Swedish stock exchange.

If you have no deposit account and do not wish to use a broker, Pepins has suggested Degiro https://www.degiro.eu/ who works with several European national "bank-ID" systems. The equivalent of a Swedish Bank ID but for various European countries.

We fully appreciate that buying shares is a complicated process, in particular if you have not done so before. That is why we've opted to have a "longer than normal" period to sign up for an account with Pepins which started on May 3rd. Pepins is also the option you will need to use (i.e not Avanza) if you cannot provide a Swedish bank ID or go through a broker.

We anticipate the "fan only" offer to be available for a longer time than the previous tranches. Please note that if you have already purchased shares in Paradox via Pepins you will not be allowed to purchase again. We want to make sure as many fans as possible are given the opportunity to invest and to do so without competing with others wanting to buy Paradox share.

I hope this helps to clarify some of the above concerns.
