information concerning the german version? **No discussion of the law see OP**

I bought the game on GMG today, activated it at steam on my notebook while i was working at Poland. It shows up at Steam library with polish internet and it is shown with german internet connection too. For now only the game book is shown within HeartsOfIronIV at my Steam library. Should be ok.

But what now if i am back at my home PC in Germany where usually play games? Will there be any problems with downloading the game on my home PC? What when i will buy future DLCs? I do not only want to play it while i stay at Poland,with my notebook.

Can anybody tell me if i am fine with it?

hopefully there will be more info tomorrow. What is known so far you can find out by looking at the dev replies only.

If I buy a key in the Paradox Store and try to activate it on my German Steam, I will not be able to play it?

You should be ok, but no guarantee.

You should not be able to activate the key without the use of VPN.

(and activating it with VPN can be a problem if it is "perma blocked" of course, so you would have to do that on your own peril)

SteamDB is an unofficial source though, AFAIK. So that doesn't really needs to mean much. Still, a full block would be a really bad idea from Paradox and would lead into massive shitstorms, I would guess. Let alone the fact, that it might be another legal problem to do so inside the EU.

So I see in the "World War Wednesday" 's only the Hitler shadowed. Thats ok. But if you show me now a list of differences, I have no interest to buy this game anymore. And I wait so long time... VPN with steam isn't really a good idea. It's against their TOA. Not saying they will but if they catch you they might ban your account. not something I would personally risk considering that I have quite a few hundred Euros worth of games on that account.

That only holds true if you buy something via VPN (for example to exploit lower prices on steam directly). I unlocked tons of games via VPN (for example if the release was earlier in asia or NA) and tons of people do that alle the time. If you don't buy the international key ON Steam via VPN, there shouldn't be any problems at all.

Also locking you out of hundreds of Euros worth for one thing that hasn't anything to do with the other games, would be a very risky and probably illegal move by Steam and I have never heard of any case like that.

I think many Fans in germany will look confused when they look on steam and see "the game is not avaible in your country"
