I've noticed a few times now that, after constructing a building that's unprofitable, the building will still hire up to its full capacity and refuse to fire anyone as it sits at 0 cash reserves. This results in the building owners taking a large loss, impoverishing them.

This only started happening in this beta. Could it be related to the fix done to ensure buildings don't get stuck when hiring? Are they always hiring now no matter what?
Yeah this is a bug introduced in 1.2.5, we have a fix for it that will be in the next version of the open beta which should hopefully be released today or tomorrow.

Thank you! The text on the "beta" section of steam still says 1.2.5 though the in game version number is correctly 1.2.6
This is intentional. If we had changed it people would have been put back on the default branch and would have needed to opt in again to the new branch. Sorry if it caused any confusion :)

We will get a fix for the fact that adding more IGs to the game slows the game to the crawling speed, which wasn't present until 1.2.5 dropped worked fine in open beta? This is important if people want to add more IGs to the game

Is anyone else having issues as the USA where parties refuse to form? The Democrats have an invincible coalition of the Southern Planters, Rural Folk, and Evangelicals the moment Charles Finney dies, while the rest of the interest groups stay divided amongst themselves no matter what I do. Am I just bad at the game?

Is this save compatible with games started under the current non-beta build?
I haven't tried, but I'm pretty sure, as I'm continuing with 1.2.5 beta a game I started way back under the 1.2 beta(!) - of course I had some unique gameplay experiences, when new versions/patches did significant changes, but technically everything worked absolutely flawless.

Current guesses by the community seem to be that a change regarding how frequently the different combinations of reform government is calculated, combined with what is presumed to be a brute force solution with finding the best “Reform Government”, which would cause it to be of O(2^n) time complexity.

There's a weird, really reproducible bug where deleting a building in the construction queue creates a size 0 "building" that exists in the outliner. Is that gonna get fixed soon?

I'm getting a bug where the game crashes at a fixed date. I got around it once by reloading far enough but now I'm stuck. Does anyone else has this bug? Because I'm wondering if it's caused by the patch 1.2.7 itself (didn't have this bug before) or the VFM mod not being compatible with 1.2.7.

edit: after trying a vanilla playthrough which went fine, it seems it's just VFM which is incompatible with 1.2.7.
