Not every religion can, though, just faiths that have a tenet allowing it.Honestly, I wish they hadn't taken that design choice. The game is called Crusader Kings. Crusades and Jihads should feel special to show off their heavy conflict during the period. Having all religions being able to do Holy Wars just feels... off to me. Does anyone else feel that way?
No, because the name doesn’t determine the games content.Honestly, I wish they hadn't taken that design choice. The game is called Crusader Kings. this is only slightly less annoying than the people who complain about non-European countries getting major content updates in EU4.The game is called Crusader Kings.

No, because the name doesn’t determine the games content.
It is called Crusader Kings because of its previous versions. The game overgrew its own name with so many CK2 DLCs.
Oh ok. I thought otherwise. Makes sense. They've only brought it up a couple of times in the DD's so I wasn't sure on it.
???
You're right that the name of this game is based on it's predecessors and should not limit its scope. But for the games you mention, you're basically choosing your own meanings for the names and then saying that's why they are good examples of why you're right. I am pretty certain that each of those other games were named those things for a reason relating to the game. I forget B&W, though I played it for a short time when it first came out, but it's likely that the main story had something to do with choices or with good and bad (aka black and white), so the name is a valid description of what the game is about. Starcraft's name was based on Warcraft's name to maintain a connection between the two in people minds. Heroes of the Storm would have been about heroes during a major upheaval or whatever (I forget the exact details on that one) and a storm is often used as an "artistic" or "creative" synonym for such events. And so on.Try to aply the name is game rule on other games. Starcraft. A game to craft stars. Black & White. A Paint with only 2 colors. Heroes of the Storm. A game to battle storms. Gothic, a medieval architecutre simulator. Crusader Kings. A game where you only blay kings of crusader states.
These are just names, a brand. Nothing more. The name should not micromanage every detail of a game.
