i have been having problems with game crashes to desktop and hadn't had the problem before i intalled the infinite time mod. is this a knowen bug or could it be something else? i haven't installed any other mods.

Try reading the readme, or the instructions posted in the No Time Limit mod sticky in the Mod threads.
I really don't know if that makes a difference, but it's worth a shot.
It's rather simple, just open up the .EUG file for whichever campaign you plan to play and look some line called "end date" or whatever... then just type in the year you want to end.
