Buying and instantly selling large amounts of comodities generates energy credits. You can just buy and sell infinitely to have infinite credits.

In the image I bought 1250 Metal at 2.29 and sold at 4.03.

It is a known issue, if you buy sell(then buy) in large bulk the market breaks.

You can avoid abusing this by using the first 3 denotions(100 500 1000), they will probably fix this next week.

Also, idk why people are down voting you, maybe your explanation was vague, but the issue has been known since before release.

You can still achieve the same result with the smaller denominations, it just takes more clicks. I'm amazed that paradox knew about this issue and was still too lazy to change two lines in 00_defines.txt to fix this exploit.

I tried, and could not do so, are you sure?

The reason it happens is because you sell at the current price, so if the quantity you sell, sells above the average price for the whole bulk, you can get return on it.

In smaller quantities that should not happen because when you sell 1k, 10 times, the price is updated for each stack and the 10th stack will be giving you nearly nothing.

Mind this is on 30% market fee, maybe if you get fee down really low you can do it.(or maybe some products can), but I tested on minerals a lot and selling then buying gives you reduced returns everytime.

If you set the MARKET_MIN_FLUCTUATION_FROM_BASE_PRICE and MARKET_MAX_FLUCTUATION_FROM_BASE_PRICE lines to equal 0 you'll remove price variation from the market. You could probably math out some fairer values, probably 10% up and down, that would make it still have SOME variation but not enough to make it possible to exploit.
