I've had this happen to me twice in the last two days. Once while playing Career and once while in the Vanilla campaign. I do not run any Mods, nor have I ever installed one. I do have the expansions installed as well.

What is happening is when my mech gets hit by inferno missiles while already at higher heats, both times from inferno carriers, they go into full bar overheat. What ends up happening is I can move but then do nothing. All options are greyed out and unable to be done. I can move around the screen, Escape button does nothing but I can manually click the menu. I am stuck in a way I cannot end my turn. So I am able to reload the mission which typically nets no inferno missiles and then have no issues.

I have a feeling that they are causing the heat value to reach a level the game doesn't know what to do with or the game is confused while waiting on some action the infero missiles caused but is not processing. I tried reading through a few pages but didn't notice anyone else posting about this.

Or maybe I am missing some obvious thing I need to do since I am in super overheat? I've only put about 300 hours in and I know that isn't a lot for this game. Heck I've yet to finish a campaign or career mode. I typically get half way and find a new game to play and then delete my old game because I cannot remember what I was planning in it because it's been a month or 2 since I played last.

I have had this happen as well. The only solution I have found is to make sure the mech in question isn't the last to move.

Once you have moved the overheated mech, click on another mech and that should let you move on with the game.

I have also found that "Bracing" an overheated mech doesn't reduce heat, it makes the heat worse.
