is it just crazy old me, or does the 1939 thing under the infantry div pictures look a little out of place? i know we can prolly change it in ms paint or something, but im just saying. i dont know, but i would like to chaneg it to the whole roman numeral model thing that the other units get. and maybe also change the model name from infantry '00 to maybe pre-war infantry or infantry level x.

somehow the whole year = model sophistication makes the game a little too... adherent to actual history. it introduces a kind of reference to actual history in unit development that i find a little... whats the word, unwelcome? to me its kind of like telling the player where they should be in tech development

again, i know we might be able to change these in the game files, but assuming that it goes [1937 1939 1941 1943 1945 1947], i dont know how you could set up a non year based naming system for all the models.

my idea was, as i mentioned above, pre-war infantry, basic early-war infantry, improved early war-infantry, maybe also continuing this by saying basic late war infantry, improved late war, and advanced late war? these would all go from I to VI in the unit icon of course

id appreciate any response on this topic from you guys

"pre-war infantry" will actually be infantry in the year of 1937, and "basic early-war infantry" will be around 1939, and so on...

Having years printed out below your infantry units will make it easier to see if you are falling behind the tech race, or the historical tech development.

I-VI is another alternative of course, but I think I prefer seeing years.
