Greetings everyone.
I saw a thread a few days ago about the time and cost of the infantry divisions. Many stood up the concept of faster built divs, like in the original HoI2 games, others supported the DH idea of long time cost for this divisions.
The actual time to produce such divisions is in good size, IMO, but I find it rather strange that infantry divisions require so much IC as it stands now.
5.3 IC for 265 days at partial mobilization (my game with Russia in 1914 scenario), for example, is a huge industrial investment over a type of unit that'd be the backbone of any nation's army.
So, to balance time and cost of this units, might I suggest a reduced cost for the infantry divisions?
The total IC of such a unit in my Russia game would be of 5.3*265= 1404,5 IC spent.
While in the HoI2, this number falls to 5.4*90=477 IC.
A long time to build up a division from scratch would still be a problem, but the cost is much reduced. What are the real industrial investments over a division?
I don't know much about this aspects, but I believe the rifles, uniforms, ammunition for use during the training, food and other supplies wouldn't sum a total of 1404,5 IC in the end of it. The delay of such deployments would be more related to organization, training, recruiting and other aspects that do not involve industry.

Enjoying a great deal of the game, great job for the dev team.
Thanks for the atention.

One quick question that I am sure they are going to ask.
Using the current values (for IC/MP/days) can you build a military of roughly the historical size?
If yes, there will probably not be any official changes made.
