Hey.
So EU3 UI top bar had an Infamy meter where we could quickly check how much infamy we had with just a glance.
In EU 4 theres no infamy anymore but theres Aggressive Expansion which I think it refers to the same thing, however it doesnt show on the top bar. There is enough space to put a few more things on the top bar and I think putting back the renamed "Infamy" could turn it more user friendly rather than having to scroll through menus?

Aggressive Expansion is not like EU3's Infamy.

EU3's Infamy is a global "everyone hates you this much because you're a bad, bad boy" metric.

EU4's Aggressive Expansion penalty is a country-by-country penalty to diplomatic relations. For example, the Mamluks don't care at all if the Ottomans take land from la Serenissima, and England doesn't care if the Ottomans take land from Aq Qoyunlu.

As such, there is no way to present a meaningful "badboy" meter in EU4.

Great system by the way. Perhaps my favourite change in the whole game. I mean it makes sense your neighbours would get edgy with your agressive expansion, but why would the english give a fig if I take korea as Japan? Unless I then proceeded to ban foreign trade or somesuch...

What if there was a "AE" button on the top bar, and when hovering over it, you got a list of the countries (and how much) they dislike you for your aggressive expansion? Like "France -30, Savoy -50" etc. The numbers only referring to the modifier "Aggressive expansion", not the actual diplomatic standings

5/5 bretty good :DDD

In all seriousness, yes it's a much better feature than infamy. After all, Japan on the other side of the world which doesn't know that the HRE exists won't give a fuck that you took some land of their's as the Teutonic Order, which they also don't know exists.

So the badboy meter of EU2, later renamed to Infamy in EU3 has been completely scrapped and we can like... conquer the natives violently that noone will care anymore? :p

if you conquer the Aztecs, you will make the Inca and other natives country angry, but it will hardly affect the other nation.
Maybe if they are bordering the land you are taking...
