Long intro TLDR at the bottom.
In my norway game on hard I just lost a war pretty badly to Muscovy. They had triple my numbers in cavalry, the 10 k stacks they used for sieges did not take significant attritian even with scorched lands during the summer and their main 20 k army had a manouver 4 or 5 and shock 5 general and could flee back across the border before my forces could engage during winter. Add to this some unlucky terrain bonuses. (Lets defend in the field while 70% of the provinces is forest and they have 12 k cavalry while we have 4 in an equal sized army! yeah!) and things just went sour.
Ok I can handle a loss, I could have kept fighting but that would drag me near bankruptcy for the possibilty of a victory in a few years, better to settle for a peace deal as they attacked with a conquest casus belli and get back at them in 5 years.
In the deal I had to cede Neva (sp?) the province that has st. Petersburg in real life I think, and Peshkov. Neva was their qonquest target, Peskov went for max infamy.... But instead of them getting the infamy, it was me!
TLDR: Why did I get an infamyshot in a defensive war were I lost and ceded territory to the enemy? They should be more infamous, I am thge bloody victim here 0.0
