As the HRE I own most of Europe and Asia. I have 400+ Infamy. My army size matches my force limits. If I am bigger than every other country combined, no country should be attacking me based upon my infamy.

Infamy wars are fine and all when a country is France or smaller, but all infamy/BB wars do is give me more land (not that I have a problem getting land from all the CB wars I create).

Anyway, I like how infamy is now handled much better than how BB was handled.

Really infamy should reduce legitimacy... very infamous rulers usually are so because they don't give a rats ass about the legitimate rulers of territory X or Y. In other words their legitimate claim on their own lands are highly doubtful.

EDIT: Just added legitimacy = 0.001 to my badboy modifiers. This means people with over 10 BB or so will start getting severe legitimacy problems.

One idea:

countries that are over the BB limit: countries that feel threatened by that country will have no limits on their alliances- and will ally with anybody, or get a free alliance with each other.

That way BB's have to face real coalitions of countries.

In my current game, I am having to deal with a monster Netherlands that inherited Ukraine, AFTER going over the BB limit. It collapsed Bohemia, which was the bane of my existance earlier, and it's scaring the BBB (and BBB formed normally)

That said, Bohemia, Ukraine, and Aquealia each went over BB and collapsed (I vassalized the later to get an HRE elector in my pocket, figure it's easier to be the emperor then destroy the empire)

Another side effect of all these BB's is that everyone is at -200 with each other, and that was before the Reformation.

That's sounds like a good change; I'm going to do the same. Should it be legitimacy = -0.001, instead of positive? Thanks again for suggesting this change. It didn't occur to me, but it should have.

Played 2 full games in HTT so far as Gelre and Huron, France/Austria and Moskovy seem to be the most infamous in both games. Moscovy broke up in the second game but France and Austria seem to hold it together despite being labelled dishonourable scum, it seemed to slow down their expansion however.

So far I'm liking it, AI seems to have a blanace between suffering from infamy but not being so weak as to be steamrolled by a human.

However, I would never go above the BB rating previously, and so I've not gone above the Infamy limit in HTT, so I dont know how it plays out for humans.

I'm only about 50 years or so into my first HTTT game. There have been a few countries that have gone over their bb limit. The most common are the Mamluks and the Golden Horde. The Mamluks have an "Incapable Ruler" modifier that reduces there bb limit by 20! This seems to be their reason for being over their limit for so long.
Don't know about the Golden Horde, although they have lost some lands due to revolts.

The AI has it's problems to cope with the changed BB settings, esp. the settlement policy province decision is hurting it on the long run.

i find infamy doersnt do anything at all

once your country is somewhat powerful, you can do anything you want, and nobody is stopping you (maybe some powerhouse , but always without alliance)
this promotes blobbing like crazy and i am not a fan.

nring back BB as ti was before, the more you fight the harder it gets to expand or keep control. wars should be over a couple provinces at a time not whole countries at a time.

Infamy is nasty, esp. once you reach the limit. The rebel events are painful and will seriously hurt your empire. The "Scum" CB can blow whole empires apart. And if you want BB to hurt a bit more - how about this:

Code:
badboy = {
	trade_efficiency = -0.005
	foreign_merchant_compete_chance = -0.0075
	stability_cost_modifier = 0.02
	max_war_exhaustion = 0.25
	global_manpower_modifier = -0.01
	land_morale = -0.02
	diplomats = -0.05
	global_revolt_risk = 0.1
	global_spy_defence = -0.0025
}

not really gonna tear an empire apart, but it can give server tech lag, due to the large hit on foreign merchant compete chance, the additional stab costs can maybe be a small problem, but less so then it used to be in IN due to the new cb system

thers also a bunch of nasty modifiers if you own more none core provinces then you have cores and are a monarchy, if i recall it right

I've seen a couple go a little over their limits, but not by much.

As the Ottomans, when I reached 31/45 infamy and I was tied down in a war with several enemies, plenty of my neighbours jumped in to take a piece of my territory. Although it didn't play out too well for many of them in the end, they made some really smart moves and I was almost down for the count.

So, maybe I'm playing a different game, but so far I've actually been quite impressed by the AI and its diplomacy.

I don't think they attacked you because of your infamy but because they thought you are weak and easy target. The AI likes to gang up on everyone now.

Why not DoW on them yourself?
AI think the same way.
If they can, they will.

Dishonorable scum make CB for all countries and benefit from wars is high, each province for 1 infamy.

This looks like a good addition. Where (what file) is the this modification made? In my games I've seen many blobbing countries and unless I interfere directly most of the time they stay blobs - I think this might keep help with that.
