I witnessed some interesting things with my Byzantine Empire.

Milan conquered almost all Italy Infamy 99

Byzantine (me) Infamy 74

Castille Infamy nearly 50

And all other countries like Bohemia,Muscowy,Lithuania,Golden horde etc are HATED through all the world.

Now is this what is should be? It seems like Infamy doesn't matter anymore, AI just steamrolls everything, so do I... So what if France DOW:s you, fight em back and thats it. I fought almost whole world at once (with great losses), but managed to turn sides. Then I fought then one by one after peace treaty ends. AI is doing the same things, they don't care about infamy, they don't care about Prestiege, they just go with a mass, kill & annex. Conclusion, why should I care about Infamy?

Infamy hurts every part of your nation. You can go over the limit now without getting into BB wars, but that's a good thing in my book. I never liked the concept of BB wars, too static. I find myself hating the times I'm over the limit and working to get under it again. A good change if you ask me.

BB wars did not cause you to lose. They made you do a WC without suffering from stab hits. Good riddance actually.

seems like pretty high infamy for the AI?

only played 100year untill now in my first game and the highest infamy has been reached by austria with around 35 ... austria went over the limit once and sweden twice conquering norway other than that i have only see the tribal govs going over the infamy limit.

I saw austria conquer hungary brandenbourg, bohemia, lorraine palatine poland litunia, all center and east europe in 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!:rofl:

I took a look at their infamy stupidly thinking that ai has a setup to don't go over a cetain infamy...

Result non limit austria infamy: 299!!! may be it's the max...:D

There should be no limits for AI infamy, but seriously over 100 infamy should bee looked not so welcomed by other countries. AI should react more aggresive when Infamy line is crossed.

Well we don't need a more aggresive AI, because the AI can't handle their own expansion.

A better AI would be welcome as ever though, don't see that happening (not blaming pdox, I mean AI is hard to get right)

"Your country is too hated, now it has to be terminated by HB 50k x10 stacks" I would be amazed when this messages pops up... Actually sometimes it is funny to look when your Empire crumbles...

And do a suicide attack? Only if AI's agree to cooporate will they attack Austria. However, AI's in HTTT are opportunistic so they would use the situation to attack the anti-austrians as well. Those AI's know that thus they will not DOW unless they feel secure.

Too harsh and manipulated. In my opinion: No limits! Just better AI.

Attacking a (powerful) hated country =/= smart move from AI
And from what I have seen in demo, playing and player replies, the AI now knows what is the meaning of smart move.

The AI will have greater chances of DOW-ing that country, there is no doubt in that. However, it will do that only if it is somehow profitable to him and it feels secure to do so.

I've seen a couple go a little over their limits, but not by much.

As the Ottomans, when I reached 31/45 infamy and I was tied down in a war with several enemies, plenty of my neighbours jumped in to take a piece of my territory. Although it didn't play out too well for many of them in the end, they made some really smart moves and I was almost down for the count.

So, maybe I'm playing a different game, but so far I've actually been quite impressed by the AI and its diplomacy.

I don't recognize what you're saying at all from my experience so far. I've seen one country that survived with high Infamy, and that was The Mameluks. They must have had over 150, and didn't show any signs of stopping. In all other cases where a country significantly went over the BB limit (or even just went over it at all), they usually weren't half the size 15 years later.
