I am currently playing the US in the 1936 scenario; 1.06 and CORE .82.

I am having a problem with my IC gradually decreasing for no reason that I can see. I am not at war with anyone, I have plenty of all the resources in surplus, and am producing or trading resources at a surplus as well.

Any ideas about what I am doing wrong?

I am improving Industry in three provinces DC, Houston, and LA.

Gradually decreasing? How's your dissent? The decadent Americans demand lots of consumer goods, and everytime your war entry rate decreases (it'll bounce back and forth a lot), it'll shoot up.

Heck, the Berlin Olympic Games are enough to scare the Americans away from war, as are the Anschluss and the Treaty of Munich.

A note to all the kiddies out there: As the Americans or Soviets, keep the Budget window open constantly. Your war entry rate will determine much of your consumer goods requirement, even if, as the Soviets, you can't see it.

Yes, but if you aren't meeting those CG needs, your dissent will rise, and that will lower your IC.

Actually, you better close it once in a while, otherwise any change you do there won't affect the game. You have to close the eco screen for any change you did to actually start.

Yes, "IC gradually decreasing" sounds like a result of dissent gradually increasing because of not enough supplies being produced and no stockpile.
