I recently played as France, and went to look at the terrain in Indochina. The hills and mountains are in the right places, but where is all the jungle? Or the Mekong Delta?

Most of the forest provinces should become jungle, with a few exceptions in the high mountains. Several of the Plains provinces in Cambodia and Southern Indochina should be marsh to represent the Mekong Delta's alluvial plains.

Also, Okinawa needs hill provinces in the north:

IMO there should also be some impassable terrain say in between the western border of modern Vietnam and Laos, as that area was rarely ever passed through because of how thick and mountainous it was. Okinawa and some of the other island's shapes and terrain, *cough* *cough* Iwo Jima, are a little off as well. But, for the very minor changes (not the jungle, which def needs to change), I'm fine with leaving them, as a rework to Italy and the Soviets is so desperately needed.

what, you mean where the Ho Chi Minh Trail was located...
More to the theory of the British or some european/japanese army using and passing through this area, as the Ho Chi Minh Trail and Tet offensive were not quite possible even mere decades before they happened, especially for countries such as those.

Edit: Also the border between Cambodia and the south of Vietnam is quite open, but the Laos border is mountainous and with thick jungle.

First off, a large portion of the trail was in the mountains of Laos at the border. Second, the existence of parts of the trail had been around for centuries. Third, how could it not be achieved 20 years earlier when it was made by hand and pack animals, both of which had already been invented ;). Not to mention, that the trails were used in the first Indochina War, which started in '46.

Alright, I'll word it this way, I understand that supplies and small numbers of guerilla soldiers were able to pass through the thin paths into Laos, but it also wasn't able to ship massive amounts of soldiers at one time, so easy combat where two opposing forces could both funnel troops through and fight in the area doesn't make sense.
Not to mention, that the trails were used in the first Indochina War, which started in '46
Also, no, the trail was used in the war, but not until '59.

The OP IS correct about re-tiling the Mekong Delta (swamp/jungle) and the mountain ridges of I, II, and III Corps along the Laotian/Cambodian borders with N. and S. Viet-Nam(Jungle/ mountain !)

I WAS THERE in 1971-72 with 1st Cavalry (Airmobile); and we flew the Army's 2 masted schooner of the sky, CH-47, to firebases all over II, III Corps .
