These are the Mauryan levies. It seems that they currently lack (or don't use) any kind of unique Indian levy unit model. Is this WAD? Is it a bug? Or will we eventually have unique unit models for Indian levies?

Im pretty sure there will be an Indian DLC. I'm not saying this to complain. It's just that there are alot of base things that have needed fixing and are being fixed before "content packs" are focused on.
One thing that would be nice to see are elephants troops. But I hope they don't implement it like in EUIV, where they spent time to make different models for inf/cav/art but you only see cavalry and artillery if there aren't any infantry in the stack. Kinda a waste of graphics.

In any case, I think it's weird that they actually added new models (mostly levies) for pretty much every graphical culture included in the game (Celtic, Italic, Greek, Iranian, etc) but they forgot about the Indians.
This is a pretty big oversight. I hope they fix this fast.

I think it's a weird effect related to movement and lighting. If you look at him closer, everything seems alright, lol.

Yeah, that's definitely the vanilla model. I didn't remember I was playing with a mod.
