This is a modded scenario where starting domains are all duchies with default borders from province.csv file. Please get the scenario file here: http://www.kolumbus.fi/solmyr/CK/dukescen.zip

Playing time is 7am CET on Sundays (6am GMT, and I believe it's 1am EST in the US).

Any duke is available to play at the beginning except those who can create a kingdom immediately (Bohemia and Navarra). You may either use the ruler in the scenario or create your own using the character creation rules. The same goes for your ruler's wife. You can also just change your starting characters' DNA if you like.

Roleplaying is encouraged. There are some rules that apply to this game:

1.Your succession law must be some form of semisalic; if you get something else by event you must change back ASAP.
2.You can never take the province of Roma from the Pope, nor grab a claim on it (though you are free to take his other provinces if he gets any). If somehow you get a claim on Roma or on Papal State, it will be edited out between sessions and you will get 100 piety per removed claim in compensation. If the AI conquers Roma then it will be restored to the Pope via editing (or via event in the beta patches).
3.The above also applies to starting provinces of the knight orders (Faereyar, Shetland, Malta).

Remember that if you want to edit your starting duke and/or his wife, you need to post the stats preferably by early Saturday so I have time to mod the scenario.
Also if you start with any bishop vassals, let me know if you want to get rid of them at the start (if you keep them, you'll have to deal with them normally in the game).

Could i pick scotland as they are only really viable in a duke game anyway. True they get more prestege but their income is worse than many of these dukes.

For her wife, she has Fortune Builder of 4 traitpoints, Just of 1 traitpoint and Coward of -1 traitpoint, total of 4 traitpoints.

It does? First time I hear that, if it is true then Sceptical should be moved to 0 points (there are some rather bad events for sceptics and they get are not so well in the relations part either).

Well, there is not even one mention of Sceptical in either tech discovery events or tech spread events so if Sceptical helps any in tech, it's helping in some hidden way.

Admittedly I was going by the manual, which claims Sceptical gives "faster technology spread" and is not proof in itself. :D

Looking in the event files, the advances events do indeed not mention it at all, so I guess the manual is wrong. Sceptical does help one slightly in achieving the highest intrigue and martial educations (intricate webweaver, knowledged tactician, brilliant strategist), though it hinders some others. So I guess it's fine at -1 points.
