HOE4 is about to come out, so I'm like why bother? I'll do it if they're cheap. I can create new scenarios by hacking the sg file, so I'm keeping it interesting. Black Ice sounds cool--I might buy tfh just to be able to play that.

Well sure. Of course if you got it on Steam then they regularly have sales with ridiculous prices.
The game is much easier to play using the TFH expansion. The unit allocation and upgrade system is a lot easier to use for a start.
