So I dont know about other players, but it seems like a lot of the time I just can't seem make a nation like me enough to accept alliances or vassalizations, especially when I am playing a republic or if I am considered to follow a heretic or heathen religion. It would be nice if, upon reaching maximum relations with a nation, the popup would give a third option "continue relation improvement" which would cost 2 diplomatic power per month to increase relations by a maximum of an additional 100.

An issue involved here would involve strange situations, such as The Knights allying the Ottomans; forming super alliance chains bypassing the malus for too many great power allies and being allied with France, Poland, Spain, and Greyskin; or as a Protestant Prussia, being such good friends with Catholic Austria, that they fight on the side of the Protestant league; Ryukyu diplo vassalizing Champa; and so on. Thus I agree that it should be lower at 50.
