Incest?

I am not asking for mother-son and such similar close cases, but only will we have close familial incest in the game? Like uncle marying his niece or 1st cousins marrying together, as this happened quite often in feudal societies and did cause problems (and some sources for intrigue and manipulations). This wouldnt be a huge feature of the game but that would be nice to allow some nice realism and cool roleplay possibilities.

Didn't had any children with "inbred" stat though... but i think it's in the game

I believe you can marry anyone who is not present on a characters character screen. So no parents, siblings or grandparents. the rest is fair game, though there is always a chance for the inbred trait to pop up.

I had some 1st cousins, uncle-niece marriages when playing as Castille trying to unite the crowns of Spain... So i guess it works... Another time when trying to arrange a marriage i accidentally inserted myself and my sister in the slots but i couldnt proceed from there as i got a warning that marrying close relatives is prohibited.

In my game as Duke of Milan I married my daughter to the king of Bohemia, after a while I look to the family tree and I discovered that my wife was the niece of the king of Bohemia, so, basically, my daughter was the grand-niece (don't know if it is the exact term) of king of Bohemia.

I tried brother-sister in game. Doesn't work. This will need to change, or be modded, if we want to see a SoIaF mod (which I hope we do).

1st cousins were the default for in-house marriages back in those days. They weren't really aware of genetic consequences from doing that repeatedly until the 20th century. Hence why the Habsburgs all but went extinct.

But no, you can't marry your daughters off to your sons. Even the primitive Europeans knew that caused too many flipper-babies.
