I've read in a add in an magazine here in Sweden that it will be realsed January 14:th........

it is released earlier in USA and trough the paradox shop AFAIK.

Darn it.. I ordered from the Paradox store.. will US Amazon customers.. paying less, possibly with free shipping.. get it sooner?

Damn I'm jealous and feeling rather stupid.

It's a good idea to order it direct from Paradox, if only because they get five times the revenue from it, and Paradox deserves your money more than your game store, since it's what will make them go on to HoI 3 and more...
Anyway, I seriously doubt if buying through a middleman is quicker.

Well the wifey pre-ordered through Amazon for me as an Xmas present. (Guess she prefers me in front of a computer monitor ) So chances are I won't get it until after semester starts, meaning no gaming for me until summer!

Upside = 3 patches by then!

Well, my Amazon pre-order still lists Jan. 3 as the "expected ship date". If that's the case, I'll have it on the 4th, but as I won't be able to play very much until that Friday (the 7th), I'll be happy if I get it by the end of the week.

I remember when HoI1 came out, it wasn't on store shelves for a couple weeks after the official release date. Of course, that was very likely a Strategy First problem. Hopefully, Atari will do a much better job w/ distribution.
