In search of game

Hello
I´m playing EU2 for years now both vanilla and AGCEEP, but single player is not as interesting as it was before, so I would like to try multiplayer.

As I never played EU2 over the internet or multiplayer before I would like to find a game that is "newbiefriendly"

Preferably one with other players that understand how much gaming time one has with a fulltimejob

Edit: I´m living in Germany, so CET would be nice.

I started to read through your game thread but a lot of things are unknown to me. What are "lag colonists" or "lag diplomats" for example?
And "lag stabhitting"?

auf deutsch: ein lag tritt auf wenn der host-pc mit einem oder mehreren mitspielern nicht mehr synchron ist...dadurch kann es z.b. auch mal vorkommen, dass man einen kolonisten, diplomaten mehrmals benutzen kann...

beim lag stabhitting ist es ähnlich wobei dadurch auch einem mitspieler auf unfaire weise geschadet wird...

I know the definition of lag - I just wondered about what e.g. lag colonists would be.
So the other players are frozen and I would send a colonist and that colonist is not deducted from my colonists because the connection to the host is frozen too, so I could use it again? And doing that would be using a lag-colonist?

And lag-stabhitting? Normally in single player you can only send a diplomat once per month, so if I stabhit a country I could do it only once. Would lag-stabhitting mean that this restriction would not work during lag? So despite not a full month has past I could send another diplomat to the same country? Or I could use the same diplomat because the one I used would not be deducted from my number of diplomats?

Did add you, but we don´t seem to be online at the same time. Or my Trillian has messed up the add process...

It´s far too early for me to become a permanent player in any game - I don´t even know if I can connect to a game because I never ever tried.

What exactly are you using in that game WATK 1453 Fal´s scenario?
Currently I have only EU2 vanilla and AGCEEP on my computer.

How do you manage more mods without breaking something or messing with the files? Install EU2 another time in a different folder and the other mod in that folder?

1º Ear rarely is online on ICQ. Either that or he blocked me for some odd reason.
2º FAL never made a 1453 scenario. That's Drake 1453 scenario. And yes that is what they are playing.
3º To play properly you have to install EU2, and install WATK over it. Since WATK uses a diferent map i guess you will have to have a special instalation of EU2 just for multiplayer purposes.

Oh and sorry for the late answer.

ive used the icq-invisible mod in a very intensive way...

being a player in regular game is the best way to learn fast...besides that the group of constantly playing people became smaller lately, making it harder to find someone...
watk is a great map-mod...

I think like Sable_Rose that it would be more intresting to join a new game, which I gladly would do if possible (on my free time...)
