First off I really could care less of what others can think and feel about this topic and it really does not bother me in the sense of what others choose to be or do with their lives. I hope y'all can see this is not about ME and more about the game itself and the target audience it's played by. And by all means if there is someone that could correct me here is a chance to come out and voice your opinion on this. The ones for this feature in the game not the ones against it as there's like a ton out there but everyone is welcomed to comment as well. I would just like to hear from the one in full support of the lovers idea and have them point out how this has been a positive feature in the game and how it benefits the game or audience of it.

Dev's I have a serious question in relation to the game and its audience.

Is the way the LOVERS relationship featured in the game actually popular or was demanded by the target audience to this game? I have yet to see one, honestly, not one positive comment or rating that mentions how the LOVERS either it be straight or homosexual or whatever the PC/personal opinion term it should be called is great or any amount of "ok" instead I see a lot of the total opposite.

If so who? where are the post supporting or glorifying this feature in this game? I have yet to see them and if there's and equal or more amount supporting and enjoying this feature in the game than I will stand corrected ... but I have not seen that yet, again total opposite.

Is this a personal preference/opinion of one of y'all that feel that it's your right to force it onto people? Maybe have that "it's my game (creator) so I do what I want with it :p" approach and not even notice you're doing it because I am sure it's more of a singular thing rather than a group effort to push whatever idea or agenda someone has in the team and everyone else is either whatever about it or there for moral support not telling you anything bc as long as they get paid it don't really mater to them.

Has this LOVERS feature been more of a positive or negative impact on "your" game? I think it's safe and accurate to say NEGATIVE and that's accounting the overall posts, comments, ratings, threads I have read throughout the EoS network ... so why haven't you listen and take a hint Dev's? Many have left or will leave solely for that "LOVERS" reason there. At least act as if you care about this point. Who knows, it may even attract and bring in more players and keep them playing.

No one here is here to be lectured, schooled, be made more aware, educated or to build more tolerance to anything ... We get that EVERYWHERE else. I doubt there's elementary or middle schooler's here also to be introduced or made made more friendly towards the "LOVERS" idea of any type of love relationships. We are all here for the reason the game projects to us and immerse ourselves into a simulated Organized crime world taking place in the 1920's not anything else. I or we shouldn't even have to be bringing this specific topic up and rather be having arguments of factual events and workings of the "mafia" and organized crime in that era which to are legit although get heated most times by enthusiast. Still more interesting and more game related.

My solution to fixing this problem and having it stay fixed is extremely simple... just do away with the "LOVERS" and the whole thing, straight or not, it goes away and no more bs from any side. Just have friends and enemies relationships as that can be fitting in this game and if they develop hate towards one another let it be due to a friend being killed by a gangster or a faction that gangster they now hate is in ... way more simple than we think.

Or maybe reach a compromise by having an LOVERS ON/OFF option in the set up menu where we select how many neighborhoods, factions and difficulty we want to play with/on. That way the game overwrites all those lines and adjusts to the liking of the player. Like a mod would do which I am quite sure would probably be one of the first to be created when that ability is available to us.

The real and true problem, if any, would be personal one or a few in your team internally which should not bleed onto us playing customers. I truly believe that you may get a handful of actual players and maybe experience a personal dilemma with this choice [no more lovers] but the mass majority of this audience will not argue or be bothered, I know I won't for sure, if not be happy to not read or see more negative statements on this topic ["LOVERS"], if anything players will probably be happier with that "LOVERS" issue most have with being taken away.

That's my opinion and suggestion. I hope this does not offend you or you take it personal and I have for the longest now kept from saying anything bc as like I said I really don't care nor does it bother me but do see how out of place it is here in the game and not necessary or embraced in any "positive" way by the players, who should matter most for your product. Very simple I say, delete it. There's way more to win than to lose with this games audience with this for the game. just saying.

Players reading this: Comment "+1" also if you agree with this in regards to the game, the game! and hit the up arrow to upvote so this gets the attention desired please.

If you [players in full support of keeping "LOVERS" feature] disagree with this by all means please please please feel more than free to express your opinion and let us all know how the "LOVERS" is actually a great feature in the game and why it should be kept in the game. What pros and positives does it bring to the table? Make sure you have your big grown up clothes on though so we can all have a constructive/productive and maybe educated conversation about it.

First, I agree the level of LGBTQ? inserted into this game is ahistoric. I do not care what two consenting adults do while wearing whatever garb they feel reflects their inner-self, but at what point does it become a comic book retelling based on RNG dicerolls when the bizarre relationships develop in this game for no discernable reason?

Simply put; were there gay gangsters, of course; but if the Capos or the Don find out about this secret lifestyle it may well have cost you your life up until just a few years ago.

We do not live in Pre-War America; and based on my observations since release I think the Devs are hard core committed to this group of players and lifestyle and getting them to back-up will require more effort than a few gamers can muster. And pushing them on it will not be well received for reasons that are obvious to any astute observer who keeps their eyes open.

Just look at the best killer in the game. Is it historic? Benny Seigel? 'Machine Gun' Jack McGurk? Joe Batters? Frank Nitti? Lepke Burkhalter, the head of 'Murder, Inc'? One of Capone's stable of killers?

No, 'R' is straight up some bizarre looking LGBQ icon purchasable for 666 points. That is the summit of this game at the moment. I highly doubt it will never be eliminated, but I hope it is modified until it stops being a game killing distraction because 'walking down the street' two guys find love because a dice roll said so rather than for discernable reasons.

So, for example, if Meier brings Benny and Benny outclasses R by a wide margin - BRAVO!!!!!!! Positive steps in the right direction.

More history, less ahistory; we'll settle for that. The kids deserve the circus and lion tamers if they want; just give the adults a way to tailor the experience through a custom built map and shall be well.

Very true and I agree with you plus some. I am more than sure and understand that there may have been gay/homosexual gangsters back then and even now but the fact that then and even now those gay/homosexuals did not openly express themselves and were either kicked out or killed if discovered is very real. Even recently and today, maybe there's a few cases out there but in that world and it's still not a fully accepted thing and does still have a lot of negative outcomes. Don't believe the movies, books, stories and fairytales. Extremely rare today and pretty much unheard of and non existent back then ... kept very secret even in society back then.

In the historic sense and the accuracy of this game. If the Devs had this agenda and their intent was to push this idea of "LOVERS" to a very few, they chose the wrong genre/theme for that. I'm not sure what players asked and demanded that feature ... was it close friends or family that said they would buy the game if they created it? Do they own and play the game now?

Yes, I would love for the devs to introduce those mobsters and gangsters you mentioned and boss's like Albert Anastasia and "lucky" Luciano. It's ok to have some fiction and unrealness to it as it it a game and we do have that with how some of the mechanics work, some characters such as Dyer and her white city circus faction and things like that is more than ok as it still fits the game.

'R' ... I can't agree with you more .... at first sight and yes I even noticed the 666 notoriety required to hire him I knew the character was designed around the "LOVERS" idea 110% I did have a moment questioning if the character was male or female or whatever else the devs were trying to push or express in the game. Not gonna lie and now that I recall I think 'R' was one of my first cues and where I started to question the game in this "LOVERS" regards when I was first looking around to see what was all in the game. 'R' looks as if he has some sort of disorder and does look bizarre as you say. Looked like a creeper to me ... but I did not develop the game or design him SO even today I still question what was behind 'R'

++1 for your response and thank you for responding.

The devs can say what they want, but they designed all of this (especially 'R') as a joke, which should be taken as offense if you're a part of the LGBTQ community. I mean, 666. For real? So the LGBTQ character is Satanic? Most of the 'lovers' relationships tend to be homosexual men? C'mon. There's random, and then there's game developers laughing like high schoolers over it all. I have not seen, in all my plays, one lesbian relationship (preset relationships aside). But I also think the devs painted themselves into a problematic corner. If they get rid of the feature, it looks a certain way. If they keep it, they annoy what little fanbase they have, patient enough to stick around for all the bugs to be fixed.

So I actually uninstalled this game after this feature decided to ruin 3 of my play throughs, then I tried to just play solo without any gangsters.

I like to build my gang and I don't really care what they want to have intercourse with. That's a them problem. Not a me problem. Definitely not a problem I should be dealing with in game. In real life I literally do not care what you put yourself in, or in yourself. I DO NOT CARE, that is literally your private business.

I care that you took my money and it took me too many hours to realize how crap this feature made your game before I could get a steam refund.

You destroyed every gang I built with this love bs. If I wanted to play a dating sim I can buy that, holy shoot it's called The Sims! You betrayed your customers with this, not because it's LBGQTXYZ but because you literally built in a game breaking mechanic. I can watch CNN or Fox for the latest in progressive or nationalist issues... Whoever came up with this is just a kind of crap person tbh. It's like having a Jehovah's witness at your house and surprise they have keys.
