I just found the Flanders scenario available at the depot. I hope to get to it in a couple of days (annual tax time in the US and I'm a procrastinator!)

Just reads through your AAR. Looks very impressive for this early in the game. Just a couple of questions. Why not join France's alliance. This would seem to allow you in the future to attack England's overseas colonies. Also with France sitting on your border you would be in an almost unassailable position. It looks like your well on the way to a magnificent commercial empire. Great fun reading about it.

At this stage of colonisation I don't plan on messing with any big one whether it is France, England or Spain. I could take on Portugal in Brazil and Holland in the far East.
I sorta divide the colonies between us with England and in the colonies a reformed England is more helpful an ally than a catholic France. Just don't get on each other's turf.

When I update again/play my scenario, u wil notice that I have a real Flemish shield now. So I thought I'd switch back to rebel till I got to 2000 posts so I could use a custom avatar. Sadly it seems they don't do that anymore

On our way to India we put a harbour in Mahe. In India we notice we aren’t the first to arrive. Portugal had established itself around Goa and the French were making themselves comfortable at the Coromandel Coast. Fine by me, I’ll have the Malabar Coast, please! England turn to reformed religion too, which suits us just fine.
We totally monopolise our Recife COT which is worth 438D now. We also built a manufactory in the Azores to help our naval tech for our explorations. Spain is very active in America and eventually even kicked our merchants out! England and Scotland go at it again. Sweden joins in with Scotland, we help out England.
1556 and after the trade ban, Spain now also declares war on us!! At a very bad moment I might say as I had launched an expedition to Scotland to finally end them backstabbing our allies once and for all. Needless to say it all went in total disarray. We were kicked out of Scotland while alrdeay retreating to Flanders again. England took the brunt of it and lost the Marches and Ulster.
We notice Frobischer in India so we arrived just in time. We sent an expedition army out to Uruguay from Brazil. And we burn down TPs up to the Rio del Plata but beyond that there were colonies/cities and enough men to hold us back. Maybe try Suriname …
At home fortunes are mixed. Our fleet returning from Scotland manages to kick the Spanish out of Flanders but they stayed sieging in Zeeland. At that moment our land tech increases, which was nice. War taxes were levied as we ran out of recruits.
Meanwhile our Brazilian Corps had reached the Guyanas, burning the lot down and moving in. Spain refuses to listen to status quo offers. Even after we manage to clear the homeland completely from Spanish troops after heroic resistance.
This war wasn’t halting our explorations though. Malacca was discovered and we noticed French troops roaming around there! Spain makes peace and gets back the Canary Islands from the English.

I'm working on it
Seeing I try to not exploit my advanced knowledge of islands it'll most likely be Mahe I end up at

1661 and colonisation is advancing. The English and French are moving in quickly in India, nearly forcing us out. So we opt to just bypass India and go for Malacca and then China. After our war with Spain, Brazil now stretched from the Rio del Plata to include the Guyanas. Our army was decimated though and we had to pay back 3 loans. We trade maps with the English and get knowledge of Mexico, China and OZ.
A new COT opens in Zacatecas. We couldn’t care less, Spain banned us anyway. The trade from the Inca Empire gets diverted to the Recife COT, which was nice. Colony wise it is a very active period, for many countries. England looks realy settling into North America and the Ottomans were spotted near the Cape. We establish ourself in Malacca and surrounding malayan provinces.
The Council of Trent is upon us. Ah well.
A new COT springs up just for Oz and New Zealand. We’re not going to bother our allies there. On the other hand we also discover the COT of Delhi, where we immediately send a contingent of merchants to. Even Austria was trading there already! We pay back 2 loans but have to prolong one. We invite Holland into our alliance, the CCC, the Calvinists Countries Coalition.
1567. Quite a surprise as England and Scotland go at it again. All our loans are paid back by now, we are prepared and so is England. We land in the Highlands, Holland in the Marches, England are doing Ulster first.
Our campaign is a success as both Holland and us leave with indemnities while England gets back Ulster.
Austria has another go at kicking the Turks out of Europe and get Croatia. Holland also start colonising big time now. Indonesia, as was to be expected. A Portuguese COT gets opened up in Indonesia.
1572. France attacks !! Scotland, allied again with France join in. We quickly destroy French Africa but seeing France has a 31 army running around in India all our remaining presence there gets wiped out.
1573 sees us perform well in the war. Brussels gets liberated, Calais falls in our hands. We move on to Picardie while France has another go at Brussels. France starts making offers but for now we aren’t yet interested (don’t want any French core provinces either to give them a CB)
Spain and Incas battle it out once again. Hannover becomes a Prussian vassal. Poland joins the Spanish Coalition. Denmark tries to get Holstein once more.
1575 We get our conquistador.. Not to go to America as there ain’t much to do there seeing Spain annexes the Incas. The Indies it is!We settle with France for some African colonies.
Spain attacks France after which Holland attacks Spain. We drop out of the Alliance. It isn’t Holland who is sharing long borders with Spain in South America!
A COT gets opened up in Table, which we monopolize. Milan annexes Parma, Hessen annexes Kleef. Denmark finally gets Holstein.

1579 is an important year for our trading nation. A Trade Compagny gets founded in Antwerp. The VAC, the Vereenigde Antwerpse Compagnie comes with an added bonus of money, investments in trade tech and merchants. Which is nice.
We pay little attention to foreign politics but can’t help but noticing France yet again expanding by vassalising Baden and Portugal for some insane reason attacking Spain. France also diplo annexes Savoye.
We concentrating on defending Brazil and exploiting the gold mine in the Amazons.
