Hello.

I recently started playing as Austria again. Being the Emperor from the get-go, I'm trying to get to grips with the new ways of how Imperial Authority is gained and lost.

The gains is simple. It's the number of princes in the HRE, and I can see that directly in the Emperor's screen.

The losses, however, are not so easy. You see, the HRE map highlights any HRE province that is under direct ownership of a non HRE country. So that part is easy. Simply count the thus marked provinces on the HRE map view. Unfortunately, the malus to Imperial Authority also includes provinces belonging to nations that are subject to a non HRE country. And those are not marked on the HRE map.

So my first suggestion would be this: Is it possible (since the game engine clearly knows which provinces fall under the second case) to mark these provinces too? Either marking them with the same or a different color combination. Although I prefer a different color combination, so I can see the difference between direct non HRE ownership and indirect non HRE ownership (the latter being a subject to a non HRE country).

The second suggestion pertains to the Shadow Kingdom event(s). I got this event shortly after I got underway with my Austrian campaign. So I'm now tasked with getting Italian provinces back into the HRE fold. The problem? I have no idea which provinces. To figure it out, I had to use google, and delve into the game data files to first lookup the northern italy region, writing down the province numbers, and then look in the province definitions to figure out which province on the map is which province number.

So, would it be possible to highlight these northern italy provinces on the HRE map as well, using a different color, of course. So anyone playing the HRE emperor (and getting the shaow kingdom event) doesn't have to jump through all these hoops to figure out which provinces are the target of this event.

As you might deduce, what I would like to see is that the HRE map is updated in such a way that I, as Emperor, can see directly which provinces I need to target in order to control my malus to Imperial Authority.

I fully agree with your suggestions. I only have one more: it'd be useful if the league members would have been marked on the HRE map. The Evangelical countries could be striped blue, Catholic ones — striped yellow.

Region mapmode shows what you need in Italy. HRE mapmode needs to show foreign subjects, agreed!
