We've all been there; we're so close to allying a massive Ottomans or France or whoever, they're friendly and all, but you can't ally them because of your own opinion towards them.

To remedy this, improving one nation's opinion should improve your opinion of them slightly, perhaps at half the rate of improving with them, and decaying at the same rate as usual. It would make less frustration and less waiting for another nation to improve relations with you.

Plus, if you're friendly and want to ally someone, shouldn't your opinion end up being able to ally someone else?

Well, if not directly this, one could imagine a propaganda mission in your own country lobbying for the other nation, thus improving relations. Really annoying otherwise.

I can see where you're coming from, and it's a reasonable suggestion, but all I can think is "small countries should not be actively facilitating their own diplovassalization" :)

Hmm, i think it's a good idea but maybe not in that scale. Maybe 1/4 or scaling to your relations, the closer it is to 0( omitting bonuses of opinion to the relations) it's faster growth
