I've had some annoyances with the UI, and I'm sure there's other people out there as well who have suggestions on how to improve it. Specifically, I'd like a way for me to select all plotters who wish to join a plot at once rather than right-click -> join plot. This could be done with a button on the invite plotter that selected all individuals with a green thumbs-up sign and invited them all at once.

Secondly, a checkbox next to potential plotters that I'd select, with a 'send gift' button at the bottom of the list (potentially with the total cost of the gift) so I can bribe all those who are on the edge of joining the plot but need a little persuasion at once. The point of this all is to make plotting need fewer left- or right-clicking.

Any comments, or do you have other UI ideas? Post below!

Turning the "invite to plot" interface into a check-list like you describe would indeed be nice. But AFAIK it is impossible through the existing modding options.

However you could add keyboard shortcuts to speed up the navigation of these menus. I.e. assign keyboard shortcuts to the following UI actions:
- scroll the list up/down
- click on green button of character at position #1 / #2 / #3 / ... in the current UI view
- click on "send gift" button in character interaction menu
- click on the confirmation button in the "send gift" view
- re-open intrigue menu
- return to "invite to plot" list

That wouldn't create any shortcuts through the UI menus, but it could ease the burden on your mouse fingers...

The only time I use my keyboard for this game is to hit Pause Break (well, for most PI games that is). Nice tip, will surely try this out!

There's a thread in the FAQ subforum that describes how to add shortcuts for the raise/dismiss province levy, raise/dismiss province fleet buttons in the province UI, and the embark unit button in the selected unit UI.

Extremely helpful, those shortcuts... it reduces mouse-work a lot when you start a war. You can follow the instructions in that thread to assign keyboard shortcuts to almost any UI element.
