Hello. Thanks for making such a great game. I have enjoyed making many assets for it and will continue to do so. :)
Something that I have always wanted since the beginning of the game was more creative control with the terrain editor, allowing for natural bridge formations and caves. I just got done watching a video for the upcoming game Planet Coasters and I must say that I really love what they have done with their terrain editor.

If you check out this video below you can see just exactly what I'm talking about. As well as being able to have extended cliff edges, land bridges, caves, etc. I think it would be important to add rocks to the game as well. I previously requested that trees have an option to turn off swaying so that we can have solid objects such as rocks. I also believe the game should have some sort of customizable texture brush allowing people to directly import their own seamless textures to paint over grass and not be limited to either grass or sand. Allowing unlimited possibilities so that people could create a volcanic ground, muddy areas, swamp land, etc.

Thanks for all the hard work you've put into the game, I hope you consider adding these functionalities to the game and I look forward to seeing what is revealed next. Thanks! =)

The video makes me jealous. I doubt that this will happen.

The game uses a heightmap based system. A feature like you propose would require a complete rewrite with a voxel engine.

Right now there is only one specific y value at one location. Every system of the game assumes that.

Unlike Planet Coaster, Cities: Skylines is a large-scale game. That makes arches and other "concave" terrain features less important than in small-scale games.

I'm not sure I extra terrain brushes are feasible. I think the GPU power that is needed to blend the different textures increases with every texture.

What might be possible though are brushes for all existing textures: Gravel, Concrete and the "Ruined" texture. What is also possible is support for "decal" props in the editor.

I would also like to see snow, maybe auto-generated based on season and environment.

As others have said, I personally have long wanted this upgrade to Skylines, but it would require such a top down rework of the very basis of the way the game works that I do not believe it is feasible to implement in cities.

This is one of the main reasons I personally would support a Cities 2; in threads where it's debated this is very much what I mean by things DLC cannot implement
