Improved Livonian Order Map

After my vision of a better England was so well recieved, I'm just going to start doing other places (mainly in Europe) that I think deserve more better provinces.

Please note that the idea of these changes is too add depth to an area and make it more accurate, but not to go completely indepth in certain areas with tiny provinces. They still need to be clickable and a reasonable size. I'm not going to make an area a mass of utrechts and maltas.

Before I start, Please note that I need to fix a bug with the flags of the new countries I am adding, they are all appearing as rebel flags atm but once that is fixed I'll update the mod with this build!

So, this time my focus was the Livonian Order. Here is what I would change if I was Paradox:

The changes added a total of 5 new provinces. This resulted in 1 new province for Riga, 3 new provinces for the order, 1 new province for a new tag (Osel-Weik) and also a now independent Kurland.

I haven't added any new cultures, but here is what the outline of estonian/latcvian looks like (Note: Riga is still Prussian)

I have also changed the Base Tax a bit. Overall there has been a small amount of Base Tax added, in the hope that the Order won't get eaten immediately once I split off Osel-Wiek.

Again I will be uploading it to the workshop soon, so you guys will be able to play with it. Any amendments would be great. My expertise is not in this area of the world so it could be horribly wrong!

Scandinavia+Finland, Low Countries, all the little Germanies, Italy, Eastern Europe… and that's only Europe!

Oh right, yea, I have already done the majority of germany and started on italy (tbh, most of northern italy is tiny anyways)

Maybe, the thing is that there were just less people and money (tax) in the east. The proivnces there I wouldn't say are too big. They don't look horrifically large and there are many other provinces in Europe the same size (e.g. Neumark). Can you suggest any like historical reason for it? I did a bit of googling on the livonians and as far as I can see it was just an ethnic group for basically modern day estonia and northern latvia, which is already pretty well represented.

Again, if you have a good idea for the name and capital of a province then sure

They built Riga and lived around the Gulf of Riga, a seafaring and probably the only seafaring ethnic group that belongs to Finno-Ugric. Later, Germans and Latvians settled and became the majority in the region after Livs got massacred in the crusades. I just find them to be interesting

For the province name, it would be the Livonian name of the region Livod Randa and the capital would be Kuolka, of course it would produce fish. Although they are catholic in 1444.

Seems like you did some research yourself too, I didn't know the German name, makes sense since the Crusaders are German. Now I would say it is perfect although one question remains. The new Wolmar, AFAIK, falls mostly in Estonia, should it be Estonian or Latvian? Will try to make some Wiki run on it.

EDIT: Nevermind it's perfect as it is. I didn't remember the little bump Latvia has over Estonia. I guess the next best region to fix would be Scandinavia with the political-cultural bordergore it has.

Scandanavia is on the list (although I believe the swedish province in finland was technically correct wasn't it? That coastline was a lot more swedish than finnish)

Well, if you make coastal and inland provinces distinct, than you can make them Swedish no problem. Problem there is that both the provinces Finland and Österbotten has way too much inland space causing a weird look, like Swedish were in majority in all of Finland. Counting the inland part of those provinces, we could say Finnish were probably the majoirty.
