NOTE : Coming soon to the Steam Workshop : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=451040975

After my vision of a better England was so well recieved, I'm just going to start doing other places (mainly in Europe) that I think deserve more better provinces.

Please note that the idea of these changes is too add depth to an area and make it more accurate, but not to go completely indepth in certain areas with tiny provinces. They still need to be clickable and a reasonable size. I'm not going to make an area a mass of utrechts and maltas.

So, this time my focus was Anatolia. Here is what I would change if I was Paradox:

sCnqe4L.jpg

The changes added a total of 8 new provinces. This resulted in 1 province for Ramazan, 1 for Karaman and 6 for the Ottomans. Please note that my reasoning for redrawing anatolia even though it is not part of Europe is A) to give the ottomans a buff and B) to make the change in the size of the provinces to be less obvious (at least IMO, it is less obvious that provinces are larger compared to ones next to it)

I haven't added any cultures, but would love to break up the giant turkish blob, so any suggestions would be great!

PHaNb70.jpg

I have also fiddled with the Base Tax for the area a bit so that the area has been buffed to stay in line with the slightly stronger PLC and Hungary

8dlTxtL.jpg

Again I will be uploading it to the workshop soon, so you guys will be able to play with it. Any amendments would be great. My expertise is not in this area of the world so it could be horribly wrong!

Diyar Bakr should be bedouin arabic.
The name diyar bakr comes from the arab tribe of Banu Bakr ibn Wa'il (the tribe is from Najd) . Diyar Bakr means “abode of Bakr“ in arabic. Beside this tribe there alsoo exist other tribes.. (Shammar, 'Annizah etc.)

Bedouin is fine as it is; all cultures should have their localized names for ease of access.

I mean the culture should be bedouin arabic...

I believe it already is; when someone says Bedouin, the Arabic is usually the unsaid part that immediately follows. Besides, if Bedouin was changed to be Bedouin Arabic, then that would set a precedent to change Yemeni and Omani into Yemeni Arabic and Omani Arabic, and it's so much simpler to just say Bedouin/Yemeni/Omani.

For another example; it would be like putting German behind/infront all the Germanic cultures; Saxon German, Bavarian German, etc. It doesn't sound good, and the first word already implies it.

No its kurdish

Perhaps you should ask others (preferably Europeans/Americans) and get their opinion on the matter? No one thinks Bedouin = Kurdish.

What Bedouin = kurdish? no why, with "No its kurdish" I meant that the province culture in game is at the Moment kurdish
I said the province Diyar Bakr should get bedouin nothing else ... In eu4 its called bedouin arabic.
It should get Bedouin because the culture of central arabia is called in this game bedouin arabic.
But I think tribal arabic would fit better for the so called "Bedouin Arabic" culture in EU4.
And why are you talking about politics now?

How am I talking about politics? And I think you're a bit confused; Bedouin is Bedouin in game, a culture in central Arabia, and Kurdish is Kurdish, a culture in northern Mesopotamia. And if I'm understanding you, why should Diyar Bakr be Bedouin instead of Kurdish? What evidence can you provide for such a claim?

from Wikipedia "Diyār Bakr ("abode of Bakr") is the medieval Arabic name of the northernmost of the three provinces of the Jazira (Upper Mesopotamia), the other two being Diyar Mudar and Diyar Rabi'a. According to al-Baladhuri, all three provinces were named after the main Arab tribes that were settled there by Mu'awiyah in the course of the Muslim conquests of the 7th century. The Diyar Bakr was settled by the Rabi'a subgroup of the Banu Bakr, and hence the two provinces are sometimes referred to collectively as "Diyar Rabi'a". In later Turkish usage, "Diyar Bakr" referred to the western portion of the former province, around Amid (which hence became known as Diyarbakır in Turkish)." I am from Najd and I still have tribal members in modern-day Turkey

You're using sparse evidence from the early seventh century, that cannot even verify whether or not the settled tribes were a majority, and then projecting it eight hundred years into the future, presuming it is still correct after centuries of conquest and migration. There's also the matter that even if the city itself was Arabic, the countryside (i.e rest of the province) most certainly was not, and it is likely your lobbying stems from misguided nationalism than any historical interest.

I report your "lie" with Nationalism! There is also a source from 19 century and now dont say that is out of the eu4 timeline. Harran was once even Ummayad Caliphate capital, Urfa typical arab City with arab people same thing with Mardin , Midyat and Savur.. Jazirat ibn Umar was also Arabic before it was "kurdified".

I am sure you are a PKK supporter...
Why are you getting agressive when I say Diyar Bakr is Arabic? Did you watch too much PKK terrorist TV? And I have the right to call them terrorists because they are...
Not only in Turkey also in USA and Europe
Just Google arabs in turkey

I give up. You're clearly too sensitive about this subject to carry out a civilized conversation about it. I don't know half the things you mentioned, clearly your assuming that I'm some rabid nationalist simply because I disagree with you, and you didn't even bother trying to refute any of my points with actual evidence; beyond listing out the names of cities, you provided no evidence for them being majority Arabic in the fifteenth century, let alone the entire province. I suggest you try using actual evidence instead of throwing fits and slandering your detractors if you want to convince people you're right.
