Importing from Crusader Kings?

I have tried and the files are not even shown in the load list of FTG so obviously it doesn't work as of now.

Can FTG load savegames from EU2 so I can convert with EU2 then load with FTG? or how hard would it be if I want to make a converter to be able to load Crusader Kings exports in FTG?

It shouldn't be very hard. Some items in the save file have been renamed and others removed; a few things have been added (like claimedprovinces and colonialprovinces), but they're not strictly necessary.

The reason they don't show up in the list is that EU2 saves are .eug files and FTG saves are .ftg.

Oh, just noticed that.

It's actually .eug and .eeg though. (which explains why I didn't see it)

edit: by changing the filename to .eeg the game actually loaded without errors! now time to check if everything is in order.

I would be very interested to here if the transition worked out OK interenally.

It worked exactly the same way it works in EU2, no glitches at all.

That being said, like the EU2 conversion it's not perfect. (but that's another story)



So in short, it works! just as well as EU2. All you have to do is export then rename the file to .eeg

FYI, eeg means Europa Engine Game.

.ftg is only for the config file.
