Well you can make these thing that you can comment in called posts, and they can be organized into threads and those can be organized into things called sub-forums.

Log out of the forums, then log back in with the black Paradox login button, on the pop up will be an option to register, during the registration it will prompt you with your forum name if it has the same associated e-mail address. otherwise you need to tell it what your forum name is, make sure it is your correct name otherwise you will lose access to your account.
Guys I will have a suggestion thread for new features once the forum is up and running for a while, it is definitely our intention to be adding new features.
In the meantime let's get the basics up and running smooth first.

We are working on making it more friendly for everyone, you can keep your communist sympathies but no petty posts please.
Let get back to the topic of this thread guys it is kind of important at the moment so please avoid excessive OT comments.
Due to the massive amount of traffic to the forums following the Cities: Skylines launch, we decided to postpone this a week. So the new dates for this is 23/3-27/3 unless something else is communicated! Thanks for your patience!
And my apologies for being absent in this thread. Been busy times with Cities being launched. Castellon has been holding the fort well however. Thank you!
And to clarify some stuff that appeared:
- For now the style of the new forum seems to be limited to one that very much resembles "Deep Blue Edited" here. I haven't had time to make any others yet. More will come however! Function is priority right now!
- And let's point out again since a few people seems to have missed that part of the info: the intention is to move all the content from these forums to the new one. As Castellon said, just closing this and opening a new would have been pretty easy.
- I will make it VERY clear when we start the period of not saving content anymore. What you post now will still be moved to the new forums.
- The old forums will be kept in read only state so that if stuff would disappear in the migration, we can manually copy it over if need be.
- To merge your account now, just log out and use the black "Paradox Account Login" button at the top of the forums. MAKE SURE YOU REALLY MERGE WITH YOUR PROPER FORUM ACCOUNT! Don't go create a new forum nick for yourselves and confuse things (I know the process is not that good and not very intuitive. With the new forums it will be easier)

...Also, a lot of the questions about the new forums features are really questions about rules rather than capabilities of the forum software. Rules will stay the same for the time being.

We decided to keep the forums open as more of a chat room as we know there are a number of people who have an active social life on here to whom ~48 hours without would be considered very boring. We also wouldn't want people to shake their addictions now would we?
I will, like I said, make it abundantly clear what's going on. Changing of forum logo's and skins come to mind. No1 should be able to miss it I hope.
Also, what is posted here in these forums during this period will still remain on these forums. So if you posted something here that you really really want to stay in the new forums you can go here and copy it and paste it on the new place. So it will be saved in a sense. But only in these backwater forums which we will remove at some point when we feel confident with the new ones.

Nope we intend to have it on another URL in read only mode, cannot guarantee forever.

Nothing has changed just yet. Everything you post is saved perfectly fine. When stuff change I will make a great effort into making it apparent for everyone.
