IMPORTANT: Issues with Servers

Due to significant launch day server load, we experienced a series of server outages earlier. Players may not have been able to create or log into a Paradox account, validate a redeem code for reward unlock, register a call sign or play multiplayer during certain short periods of time. Two hours in now, everything is looking solid at this point.

Know that we are watching vigilantly and working on each server issue as it occurs. Please be patient with us as we work through these temporary issues. Regardless of the state of the servers, however, you can still:

Play the main campaign - there is no server requirements at all, save games will not be affected, etc.
Unlock your rewards at any time - as soon as you unlock them, they simply appear wherever applicable. You lose nothing by starting your campaign now and unlocking rewards later.

We will post updates here as needed. Thank you for the huge support - it is great to have you all on board!

I am very much enjoying the Solo-Campaign and will check in on PvP later this evening / tomorrow morning.

Yeah I ran into a wee problem when I tried to login...

First it wanted me to create a callsign and select an icon, for the PvP portion, I assume. I don't care about that part so much, I just wanted to manage my Valhalla stuff. Well, it seems I have to go through the PVP stuff before I can do that. First it said my callsign was already in use, then it said "user profile already created", but would not let me manage anything. I had to open task manager to close the game. I am able to play the campaign fine, however.

Well...not a happy camper.

I WAS logged in, going through the initial set up, says my Callsign is already taken (is this because of the BETA Skirmish thing....who knows), so I tried a few variations of my callsign, all failed, then I got the dreaded CANNOT CONNECT issue, I see my Merc Logo briefly appear in the upper right login screen before disappearing again

Not what I was hoping to see launch day.

I DO hope they fix this soon.

Bleh, should've anticipated this kind of thing and waited a day to try to do the account stuff.

I'm stuck on the screen to save a profile after getting a "could not communicate with Comstar" error or something along those lines. Now if I try to save, it says the user already has a profile, and if I click the << button to back out, it insists I choose a callsign. I guess I'll just force quit the program and hope it'll work out later.

Edit: Quick update; problem seems to have worked itself out. When I tried to log back in recently it had my profile all set up and I was able to redeem my kickstarter backer code and everything. Best of luck to anyone who's still having trouble.

I am still getting Comstar errors. Not fixed for me either.

I had to turn off cloudsaves for Battletech in order to resume my campaign, because the login still doesn't work. I probably can't get achievements now, if my experience with Stellaris is any indication, but it's better than not being able to play singleplayer at all.

Paradox dropped the ball hard on this one. Their vaunted multiplayer account system is simply not working under any workload. Spend money now and maybe it will be get fixed later - nice business model you got here. I cant use the game for 5+ hours with existing account because of this server "issues". Just how many days it can get to rent more servers?

I am able to login to the Paradox Servers quite reliably now. Though it appears that the Valhalla Codes May take some additional time before they will work, it takes about 10-12 minutes and then comes back as “Code Invalid.”

Which is fine for the now, I’ll come back later. Back to the Solo-Campaign! : )

I can't tell if Packrat is actually taken by someone else or if it's just a server issue. Kind of annoyed we even need a unique callsign seeing as we already need a unique Paradox account. I don't see why we shouldn't be able to freely change what our displayed name is like we can on Steam.
