We all know how important org is for divisions as encircled divisions will be instantly destroyed if they run out of org.

Like divisions ship also have org, and I think ships without org can no longer fire at the enemy and will try to retreat but the enemy can pursue the retreating ship and sink it without taking any damage. Org can also keep a navy out of action a while but bringing out a low org navy is very risky if what I said above is true.

What do you think are the effects of navy org in HOI4?

Unless i am mistaken, in HoI 3, ships with 0 org will no longer fire its weapons, and hence just be a "meatshield" for whatever ships you have that still has org. If i recall, it also automatically tries to retreat from the battle when this happens. I dont think it will be significantly different in HoI 4.

I'm waiting and seeing, but the concept of 'org' in the context of a ship should be very different than the concept of org for a division. I'd think it'd be better suited to the organisation between ships (coordination of fire and position and the like), so I'd like if a ship's 'org' would be pretty much meaningless in a 1v1 fight, but get much more important for an action with multiple vessels (for example, it was poor organisation between ships that limited the impact of the Japanese fleet on the US screening force off Samar, but each ship itself was operating in an organised fashion).

From my angle (ie, it's just an opinion, and not a particularly educated one, although I know more about ships now than I did six months ago :)), for an individual ship, the amount of damage that would be required to materially reduce organisation to a point where a ship was useless should pretty much have crippled the ship itself, so I'm not sure what it could represent, but until we know how it fits into the combat algorithms, it's very hard to say in any event :).
