If I could summarize this DLC with one sentence, it would be, "Less meaningless micro, more depth". Overhaul the peace deals and combat system and it would be the penultimate EU game.

One thing people haven't mentioned is the new subject interaction thing, it's wonderful to be able to fine tune your subjects, including trade companies and protectorates, which are probably my favorite type of subjects now. Makes the diplomatic game much more complete and fulfilling, a nice counterbalance to the loss of direct expansion potential.

Can you change the religion of your colonial subjects?
If say you make a couple of CN's as a western catholic state, and then decide to convert to protestant or reformed later, and would like to encourage your colonial subjects to follow suit?

Should some of the famous universities already exist in game as a free build slot? Universities of Paris and Bologna for example. Romagna should be split in two: Bologna and Cesena.

My only big problem is that you can't develop provinces unless you have the dlc, makes the game less enjoyable without it. I like the other changes though.

Not colonial nations, only vassals and union partners, I don't know about marches.

One thing with regards to forts and fast rebel occupations I would like to point out;
Provinces within the Zone of Control of a fort will NOT suffer any ill effects from being occupied by rebels.

We're working on improving the information you get on this in-game.

I still did have the message pop up in CS of additional years of nationalism/seperatism of an occupied province within a forts ZOC. Will post a screenie once I have it pop up again.

I too currently enjoy the new DLC and looks like it will be a case of playing the longer game into 18th century and beyond, more developing less land grabbing.
Also nice to read a well thought and reasoned post instead of they nerffed this and that or buff such and such.

My only big problem is that you can't develop provinces unless you have the dlc, makes the game less enjoyable without it. I like the other changes though.

As someone who's currently playing without CS, I can say that the development and building changes improved the game a lot even when you have no sure way to increase development. Having to work with limited and lopsided slots leads to very interesting trade-offs and those few events that *do* increase BT or MP feel much more important than before.

(I'll buy the DLC eventually, I just overran my gaming budget on some spring sales.)
