Once you re-formed the Roman Empire, you can use the Imperial Reconquest CB to retake land belonging to the de jure Empire.
However, this CB does a little bit too much.
Example: County of Évreux in Normandy is independent. The rest of Normandy belongs to a duke that is my vassal. I use "Imperial Reconquest for Normandy CB" to declare war. It's very effective.
However: it also revokes the duchy of Normandy from my vassal duke of Normandy and gives it to me. That duke doesn't know what hit him. He certainly did not do anything wrong. The CB is aimed at a duchy level and revokes titles even from my vassals. That should not happen. :blink:
