1722 - 1738 years
Years 1722 - 1738 were good for Venetian Republic - war, pain and death spreaded through whole Europe - mighty armies of modern nations marched through the borders, navies clashed, thousands of soldiers died on the battlefields. German part of Holy Roman Empire suffered the most from the french/prussian/aussie/british army manouvers - Emperor's power was insufficient to save Netherlands from war atrocities, altough this territory was again united in the borders of Habsburg monarchy. France, after losing it's territories near Rhein River, fought again for freedom of french citizens of Alsace

). British reign in Netherlands ended when aussie troops, after series of battles, gained VP advantage. Prussian power after military reforms exceeded Habsburg house - manpower of mid-size Prussian kingdom is truly amazing.
France, after regaining territories, stroke again into germany - german nations couldn't withstand power of french troops alone, so Russian Empire, with it's endless manpower resources joined the war for the price of Austrian Empire vassalization - german states became a puppets in the hands of two empires - french and russian ( war screen ):
There was also great colonial war between Spain and Sweden - goal was domination over Indoensian colonies and Malacca - rich and well fortified Spanish CoT and naval base - Swedish naval and technologic supremacy gave it considerable edge over Spanish fleets - there's no peace signed yet, but Spain will probably lose it's possesions in Far East.
For a change, italian merchants and "conquistadori" expanded venetian influence in Africa - after controlling considerably large part of Western African trade lines, Italina goverment decided to put down rebellious kingdoms of Zanzibar and Zanj.
History of Zanzibar reaches first half of XVI cent. when portugese sub...ekhm...viceroy...called Faello ( what a coincidence
) colonized it, without harming native people of this island - after some time, during political crisis in Portugal, Zanzibar declared independence and started to colonize in strange places of the world ( Niagara, latin America etc. ). Zanj is small tp-nation - brethren to a Zanzibar - Zanj declared independence probably from OE during one of many political crisises. these two, small rebellious nations, put embargo on Venice and destroyed it monopolies very often. but Signoria's mercy and understanding had limits - around 1728 penal expedition was launched - Zanzibar was annexed and Zanj, left alone for hefty sum of gold. With new, precious colonial possesions in Eastern Africa, Venice took control over trade routes in that part of the world, and Zanzibar bacame Pearl of Colonial Possesions of Signoria.

But Doges and italian bourgeoisie are aware, that peace is only temporary state - Italian clairvoyants and astrologists are foretelling that soon, man of considerable military skills, will bring new era of wars in Europe:
