make me cry, you heartbreaker :p the badboy role doesn't fit you well considering your affection to gay agreements.

with a general like von Frundsberg, i only expected some balance with Suleyman

If only I've had von Frundsberg during this session and anticipated this second french assault by joining Venice/BB alliance against Austria almost two years after the first one with a pretty bad stability in Paris.

-Historical events: Purposefully avoiding an event such as Spanish Bankrupcy by getting rid of a few key provinces will not be tolerated. If you want the gold, suffer the price. Events generating vassalage on a player will be enforced like the vassal rule above: cannot be broken before 20 years and a war.

does this include civil war for england , bancrupty of france , muslim tech for ottos and times of trouble and other crappy events for russia ect ect ? kinda unfair for poor spain if you force him to endure bancruptys if the rest can avoid bad effects of there events or avoid there events entire

The majority of those events occur no matter what choices the player makes and come with penalties for the lighter choices, the bankruptcy events are there to even the playing field for gold mines that essentially guarantee superpower status permanently (if used well) for Spain, and are completly avoidable. 1k free gold income in the blink of an eye has nothing to do with skill or ingenuity, it's a free ticket for all Spanish players with any sense, something no other state can take advantage of. Now, weathering the bankruptcy events and coming out viable and capable afterwards, that takes skill.

Tem, edit: 900 ducats from the Imperial treasury in Moscow to the Swedish Monarchs holding account in Gotland please :) .

goldmines does not guarentee superpower status , trade is way more powerful then gold will ever be

eitherway fact stil remains it is unfair treatment to force 1 event and not force other effects or events

for example france has a bancrupty event wich he can easy avoid if he takes a non historicle option in another event iirc why should he be alowed to avoid it and not spain ? france is afterall alot more powerful then spain is late game unles france screwed up he got guarenteed a strong nation with all those very strong monarchs , uberleaders and very nice mp

ottos are suposed to be declining later on to why sould they be alowed to avoid that decline by taking a stabhit and few years of rr they avoid muslim tech forever

avoiding spanish bancrupty events is not a exploit
i'm of the opinion forcing bancruptys for spain but not bad events for the rest is unfair treatment and biased play of other players including gm in england

Maybe you misunderstood: Gold=income=expansion=trade(COT)dominance=power. It's a free boost allowing one to get to heights otherwise impossible, a head start if you will.

There is a reason why the Spanish events are so harsh, there is also a reason why utilizing the game engine (without edits) they simply cannot be avoided. The French even, Ottoman one etc. can all be avoided by event decisions. If Spain wants to leave certain goldmines available to other states till after the bankruptcy event and then fight for them later it is most welcome.

Anyhow, this is not the thread to discuss the matter it was decided upon based on former rules not Tem being England (who in fact started as Austria :p). I do believe however, there is a hotly contested thread near by that expands on this very discussion. I may even agree with you, but for the purposes of this game it will not be adjusted.

BTW, i'm sure Tem will save Nab the trouble and conquer mexico before the events hit anyway.

perhaps you misread the event

clearly says historicle events purposly avoiding events such as bancrupty of spain now i'm asking if the other events/effects are forced to this has nothing to do with a free boost early ,since spain suffers from goldinflation early and nations like france and england can take away mexico later easy anyway

infact while you talk about boost , protestant nations get +3free merchants something that makes a huge different if you don't get 12merchants without them spain on other hand has to colonise and gather huge tech costs

If I may add something as an economist. Gold doesn't necessarily mean bankrupcy. It is pointless for me to vote against Spanish bankrupcies because it is clearly conflict of interest even if I think they should fire. So, I will only say that I have played Spain who haven't those events and England was much more powerfull still.
