You feel the same way about your tax values and manpower?

Consider this, way back over a year ago, before the beta patches ever came out. Probably 1.05 time. No one ever wanted to play Spain in my play group. Everyone said Spain was too much of a pain to deal with. Especially with inflation and gold inflation hurting Spain so much. So to keep games going, every game we played, I played Spain. Back then in 1.05 I learnt to love playing Spain. Why? Cause Spain was all about loving inflation and embracing it.
My usual tactic before they changed how inflation worked, was to quickly annex the pagans in Mexico and in South America. Income would usually come in at 140, with massive inflation coming in during this point. I didn't care, I put my mint a 50% and left it there all game long. By around the 1550's I would hit infra 5, and in a couple of year's, I would paper enough of my colonies to get my inflation down to 10. But I would keep my mint at 50% and keep minting huge amounts of cash. By then, my income would be hitting 400 and I would build dozen's of manufactories with the cash I got, constantly bringing my inflation back down to 10, and wait for a deflation to remove it if I got lucky. By the time Spain got their first of their 2 bankruptcy event's, i didn't care, 3 lost manufactories? I would have over 20 by this time. I would simply rebuild any lost manufactories and continue on and build forts and huge armies. Spain was literally unstoppable when it got going.
Back then, very few people loved playing Spain, more player's now play Spain now, but it was very rare to see a player say he loved playing Spain. But you know what? I was originally a Spain basher back then, until I was forced to play them every game. I didn't like dealing with massive inflation, until Spain turned that notion around. I was given a chance to try a nation that I totally was not used too, and in the end I loved playing that Nation. And as you can see I still retain the Spanish Flag beside my name.
I think if you decide to categorize who is a strong player and who is a weak player, you are doing that player a grave injustice. Give them a chance to prove you wrong, and more importantly, let them have a voice. If they are unsure about playing Spain, then by all mean's talk with us and we can find someone who will play them. But I would like to avoid situation's where we have to have only a few player's take that role and not be willing to trust that our playerbase can handle the role they choose.
