No, republics will be unplayable until a CK3 update makes them playable. If you converted as a republic, you can edit the output mod to either change the government or add a playable republic government.Is it possible for the converter to make republics playable or will the game turn them into monarchies like the early version of the IRtoCK2 converter did?
The converter shows a message box when there's an update available.Where can I find an updated version of the converter?

In the Options section of the converter I put the CK3 bookmark as 700 AD, a few hundred years after Imperator ended, so all characters converted are now hundreds of years old and immediately die

February.When will convertor for 1.8 CK3 be avaible?
It's counties because that's what the game generates when there's no holder assigned. I could generate them myself for duchies but it won't be top priority for now.Could there be an option to represent areas outside the scope of I:R as duchies instead of counties?

Try disabling the Islam option. It may be incompatible with CK3 1.8.For some reason, no matter if the new or old save file I try to use. The new converted mod will always crush ck3. Here is an error log from one from a totally fresh Imperator save the file.
Thanks it work. But I noticed it converted Neurian Culture to Baltic Prussian culture, when they in reality are slavs, not balts.Try disabling the Islam option. It may be incompatible with CK3 1.8.
