Imperator: Rome not launching in Ubuntu 19.10

Imperator: Rome does not launch in Ubuntu 19.10. I know this isn't a main support distro so that my be why I don't see any threads about it.

Details: Steam says launching but the paradox client doesn't even come up. Then steam returns to normal as if I hadn't launched it at all.

Have tried reinstalling/verifying local files to no avail.

I did Andrew, unfortunately I haven't been able to launch if from the terminal, and the update provided did not seem to solve the problem.

Why is that please? That's a pretty important diagnostic step with these Linux issues.

Why haven’t I been able to launch it from the terminal? I’m not certain, what should I be typing in precisely and I can tell you whether or not it works.

Right click on this game in Steam, Manage, Browse Local Files. That shows you where the Imperator executable is.

Open up a terminal console and navigate to that folder. Then run there ./Imperator

Whatever response appears there, paste it in here please.

I apologize for the delay in this. Steam indicates the directory is here:
/games/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/ImperatorRome

Here is the error:
bash: ./Imperator: No such file or directory

My apologies, I forgot this game has a different file structure.

Right click on this game in Steam, Manage, Browse Local Files. That shows you where the Imperator executable is.

Open up a terminal console and navigate to that folder. Then run there ./binaries/imperator

It didn't start on my Fedora as well. I had to install libc++ for this:

sudo dnf install libcxx

I guess on Ubuntu this will work:

sudo apt-get install libc++-7-dev
