Imperator freezes and locks my computer

This happens usually after 10-20 minutes of play. I've tried both the beta 1.02 version and 1.03. My temps are okay, gpu 65-68 and cpu hovering around 60-65. Sometimes on 1.02 the game will just crash and not lock my computer and I can just restart the game, but on 1.03 I've had solely freezes.

This is the only game I'm having trouble with, and my portfolio of games is most of the total war games and the rest of the paradox games.

I did try different nvidia drivers but no go.

Geforce 1080 & ryzen 2600x.

I really like the game but this makes it very hard to enjoy.

This problem sounds exactly like overheating. Are you sure the temps never ever get higher than that, near or over 80c?

What app are you using to see temps? Try a different one, Speedfan and Speccy are good usually.

PS: make sure you have Vsync set to On, and refreshRate to 60.

Having a similar problem since launch. It just randomly crashes the display driver and freezes the computer. Tried it on two completely different computers and the same thing happens. Not having this issue in any other game.
